Why are our BluelightProtect filter lenses yellow?
Colorless lenses can only reduce blue light to a very small extent. Due to the physical laws of optics, if a lens does not look yellow, it can hardly filter blue light. Likewise, not every yellowish lens filters sufficient blue light, especially not necessarily the portions that are particularly harmful to the eye and retina!

Why are blue light settings on monitors not effective?
With software solutions such as NightShift or Flux, the blue components can only be eliminated at a setting that leads to a significant change in color rendition and blurring. Blue light blocking glasses are much more effective at eliminating the blue components while still providing better color rendition.
A 2017 study from the Lighting Research Center, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, USA confirms that melatonin suppression is not significantly prevented with a software solution.
